Born in the heart of Dry Branch, West Virginia, Honest Roots was founded, owned, and operated from the ground up by co-founders Hector and Hope Gleason. Operating as an equal 50/50 partnership, we established Honest Roots on a simple, uncompromising belief: That personal care should be honest, transparent, and grounded in purposeful science!
We don’t believe in outsourced formulas, unnecessary synthetics, or products that sit on shelves. Every small batch of our hand-pressed PH-balanced Cleansing Bars, lanolin-rich Barrier Salves, Whipped Triple-Butter Body Butters, and custom fragrance oils are all meticulously engineered and crafted in-house by us. By utilizing premium, high-purity botanicals, plant butters, and gentle surfactants, we formulate daily rituals that prioritize skin integrity, clean performance, and sensory indulgence.
